Herbal Medicine

We incorporate evidenced-based herbal medicine into many treatment plans. Herbal medicine is the practise of using medicinal plants and extracts to improve overall health, support wellness and treat acute and chronic illness. Modern botanical medicine combines evidence-based science along with centuries-old traditional knowledge to provide safe and effective treatments that support the body’s ability to heal. We will typically prescribe herbal medicine in the form of herbal tea’s, tinctures or topical creams.

Nutrition

Nutrition is a core component of our treatments for Absolute Wellness. We believe that a return to un-processed chemical-free foods, along with correcting dietary imbalances and deficiencies is an effective answer to many health complaints and common conditions. Naturopathic nutrition involves evidence-based research in managing patient diets. It also incorporates medicinal food preparation and application, traditional approaches to detoxification and nutritional supplementation.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is also incorporated into our treatments here at B'Right Naturopathy. Homeopathy is a very safe form of energetic medicine used to treat both acute and chronic conditions. It is based on the principle that ‘like cures like’. This basically means that a substance taken in small amounts will cure the same symptoms it would have caused if taken in large amounts. The homeopathic medicines are known as remedies and are designed to stimulate the bodies innate healing ability. They are made from small amounts of natural substances, such as plants or minerals, and are administered in highly dilute yet potentised forms. Homeopathy has been practised worldwide for over 250 years. It is very gentle on the body and rarely causes side effects. This means that it is suitable for almost anybody.

We love using Flower Essence Therapy for our clients. Flower Essences are a form of energetic medicine. The essences are made-up of highly diluted extracts of wild flowers and plants. In our clinic we like to utilise Bach Flower essences and Australian Bush Flower essences to increase physical healing through balancing emotions. Anecdotal evidence has shown that flower essence remedies are effective at balancing emotional states, such as fear, anger, sadness etc...

Diet and lifestyle play an important role in physical and mental health. Our treatment plans focus on addressing and modifying dietary and lifestyle factors that are negatively impacting the health of our clients. It is vital that we address and correct these issues in order to reach our goals of optimal health and longevity.

 

In industrialised cultures our lifestyles have become consumer driven. As a whole we are chronically overfed and yet nutrient deficient. Many foods have low levels of nutrients such as antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Our western diets are highly processed and overcooked or or contain poor quality produce with little nutritional value. Our bodies are further overburdened by environmental pollution and stressful lifestyles. It is no wonder that increasingly we are seeing higher rates of cancer, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, diabetes, inflammatory diseases, chronic skin conditions, immune disorders, stress related illnesses and depression within our modern society.

 

Naturopathy aims to bring balance and harmony to the body through ensuring optimal dietary and lifestyle factors for each patient to reduce the toxic burden of our modern lifestyles and increase the innate capacity of the body to self-heal. Diet and lifestyle treatments may address things such as…
